Dear Mr President,

Along with the USA and the whole World, the UK, EU, & Africa all welcome you as President of the USA.

America has a huge influence on the world and under your leadership the rest of the world is looking for:

Peace

Stability

Eradication of Disease & Poverty

The USA needs to be a beacon of strength and leadership.

USA forces only to be used in situations where the USA is under attack or the threat of attack.

The UN should be the Peacekeeping organisation of the world!

Support the UN! Give the UN your full backing in terms of money and support.

I think in the future the UN needs to take firmer action if necessary – even military.

The USA force in Iraq should be replaced in due course with a UN Peacekeeping force. Support the new Iraqi government and give technical military support & training.

Afghanistan the same, but in this case the UN will need help from the USA to hunt down terrorists.

Pakistan has a new democratic government. Support them with money, training and advice. Insist the Pakistani forces hunt down terrorists in the mountains on the Afghan border and provide USA forces to assist/lead the operations.

Russia – time has moved on. Russia deserves your respect. Support the countries bordering Russia but do so discreetly. The front-line states should not join NATO – that would simply worry Russia and could cause retaliation.

Iran – a very tricky problem for the entire world. Keep talking! Try and make friends. Get to know the country better. Strong firm leadership by the USA.

Israel – of course they need your support, but so do the neighbouring countries. Palestine must be an Independent sovereign country – the USA must use its influence with Israel and insist on this.

Zimbabwe – Get involved – too many people are suffering. The new unity Government is making progress. Support them! Start funding! Step by step. Zimbabwe deserves & needs it

Darfur – More Peacekeeping forces are needed. AU forces alone are not enough. The UN must get involved. Insist on this. Lean on Khartoum to respect Darfur and to allow the UN into the country. If Khartoum refuses UN troops then the UN must still go in! Also persuade China to stop supporting the evil Khartoum regime.

Congo (DRC) – More UN troops are needed. Give the UN your full support. Also support the DRC government by offering training etc to their military.

Africa / Extreme Poverty – Over 1 Billion people in the world are living on less than 1 US Dollar a today. Progress needs to be made fast. Support and act on the Millennium Goals. Open up the USA to imports from the poorest nations – make all imports from those countries totally Duty / Tariff free. Persuade the EU, Japan, China and Russia to do likewise.
